Dhanteras 2012 Offers: ICICI will work On Dhanteras Day
Hyderabad: ICICI informed that the bank will work on Sunday the 11th November, 2012 on the eve of Dhanteras. The bank is offering special discounts on puchase of gold on the occasion of Dhanteras. Customers can avail the discount by buying gold in ICICI bank branch of they can also buy online at http://bit.ly/K4ldNV. Various banks and jewellry showrooms have come up with many offers on Dhanteras and Diwali festivals.
Dhanteras is the beginning of Diwali and the tradition is to buy gold, steel or silver on this day. It is considered auspicious to buy these things especially gold. People buy jewellery or gold coins offered by banks etc.
Many people want to buy gold on the occasion of Dhanteras and Diwali. But the prices of gold have suddenly risen. Jewelers and gold traders are worried with the rise in price of gold. They are saying though there is only one day left for Dhanteras, the sales of gold are not very encouraging. Many gold jewelry showrooms are trying to attract customers with festival offers. Some of them are mentioned below.
AP Gold Silver Jewellery and Diamonds Merchants Association representative said that 0.5, 1.5, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 100 grams gold coins are ready for sale for Dhanteras. The gold coins will be having the image of Goddess Lakshmi on one side. It is also expected that there will be a demand for silver articles such as lamps etc.
- Metals and Mineral Trading Corporation is offering 4% discount on silver coins and 5% discount on silver articles. It is also offering 0.5% discount on gold coins up to 50 grams weight. Gift wrappers made with gold in the form of Rs. 100, 500 and 1,000 notes is also being sold by MMTC which is a government sector organization.
- Ora Diamond Destination announced that the customers are given 50% exemption on the making of gold ornaments and gold coins. It has also announced that gold and silver coins will be offered on the purchase of diamond jewelry.
- Malabar Gold informed that gold coins or pearl diamond set are offered as gifts on purchase of jewelry.
- GRT announced that Rs. 250 gift voucher will be given on purchase of ornaments worth Rs. 25,000. Lucky coupons are also offered and the customers can win cars, scooters and silver coins as free gifts.
- Andhra Pradesh Head Post Master General informed that on the occasion of Dhanteras and Diwali, selected post offices in Andhra Pradesh will sell gold coins for a discount of 7%. Post offices will sell gold coins in the denomination of 0.5, 1.5, 8, 10, 20 and 50 grams. The 11 head post offices in Andhra Pradesh will keep open till 7.00 o clock on Sunday, 11th October, 2012.
The eleven head post offices that will be open on Dhanteras on 11th November, 2012 are – Hyderabad GPO, Banjarahills – City division, Kachiguda Station – Hyderabad South, Secunderabad, Vijayawada, BK Peta –Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, LB Colony – Visakhapatnam, Kurnool and Kadapa.
