AP Intermediate Practical Exams 2013 may not be in Jumbling Method
Hyderabad: Intermediate Practical exams may not be conducted in jumbling method this year also. Every year officials announce in November or December months that intermediate practical exams will be conducted in jumbling method but it is not happening since the last three years.
Many intermediate colleges do not like practical exams to be conducted in jumbling method. It is said that crores of rupees are changing hands to stop implementing jumbling method in practical exams. Many of the colleges do not want practical exams to be conducted in this method as their ranks may be affected. Practical marks are crucial in deciding the ranks of the students and thus college managements are trying to stop implementing of jumbling method in practical exams.
Government is being criticized for not showing sincerity to conduct inter practical exams in jumbling method. The government is postponing the implementation showing one or other reason.
A committee has recommended in 2008 that intermediate practical exams should be conducted in jumbling method. Intermediate board has postponed implementation of jumbling method in 2008 and 2009 saying that when government colleges do not have the basic infrastructure, it is not correct to pressure private colleges to provide the necessary infrastructure. There are allegations that government has postponed the implementation of jumbling method in the year 2010, 2011 and 2012 due to pressures from big colleges. In 2011 January, the reason cited by the officials to postpone the jumbling method for intermediate practical exams is the ‘Sakala Janula Samme’.
Intermediate marks are given 25% weightage in EAMCET and so college managements are trying to stop jumbling method for practical exams to give more marks to their students. If jumbling method is applied, then the colleges are worried they may lose the ranks in EAMCET.
There is also an argument that even one mark difference in Intermediate exams can change the EAMCET rank and thus college managements are trying to stop the implementation of this method. Intermediate practical exams marks for MPS students are 60 and for BPC students the practical marks are 120. There are allegations that colleges are paying huge bribed to government officials to postpone the implementation of jumbling method. On the other side it is also alleged that colleges are collected Rs. 500 to Rs. 3,000 from each student for giving practical marks.
There are 5,651 junior colleges and 3,500 private colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Lab facilities are not there in at least 60% of the colleges. In this context intermediate board has issued orders that lab facilities and infrastructures should be provided in all the colleges. Presently intermediate board is developing two methods to conduct practical exams in jumbling method and also without jumbling method.
If inter practicles is there every student will lose eamcet
if gov should implement jumbling some colleges donot have basic infrastructure in knl kadapa chitor warangal khamam vizag etc gov coleges do not have & the one thing is one solution we done in our college in other colleges they wil provide us different solutions so we face a problems lot. how the gov confirm the jumbling?
please postpone jumbling for this year because i am writing
the first thing is that we should have a clear view about jumbling and the way its going to be. then every student can do the practicals well. so its really better to postpone the jumbling for one more year.
acctually if they want to implement jumbling system they should inform in the starting of the year so that we will make us perfect in practicals and we are out going students we should have good % so reallyyyy its very much better to post pone the jumbling and if GOVT want to implement the jumbling system please inform it in the starting of the year
