Microsoft might Release Next-Gen Xbox 720 in 2013 Holiday Season: Rumors on Microsoft Xbox 720
London: Recently, Nintendo has come up with Wii U gaming console for holiday season 2012. Microsoft is also planning to release a new gaming console by name Xbox 720 but for 2013 holiday season. This new gaming console would be shipped to customers and stores for Christmas and Thanksgiving day.
Reports being circulated on the internet suggest that Microsoft is already in works to bring this new gaming console for 2013 holiday season. These reports can be a proof for new gaming console from Microsoft, and can answer those who decline the news as just rumors. It is not known whether Microsoft will release this new gaming console in a separate event in a grand way or will it release the gaming console in an industry event like that of E3 show of June. Based on the reports, this new gaming console will be named as Xbox 720. Although complete specs and features of this gaming console are not released, it is expected to have Blu Ray Drive, Kinect v2.0, A/V Prot, Advanced controller, etc. A/V port provided on this gaming console might enable the users to enjoy watching as well as recording broadcasted television shows.
These rumors about possible Microsoft Xbox 720 console suggest that it might have six to eight Intel / ARM x86 cores which run at 2 Ghz processor and memory of 4 GB. It is also expected to have Power PC Cores which can provide full compatibility with Xbox 360 games. Software will be provided on dual layer Blu Ray discs of about 50 GB optical storage.
Microsoft Xbox 360 is one of the leading gaming consoles, and nearly 7,50,000 units have been sold just over the week before Thanksgiving Day. Sales of these consoles have exceeded the expectations of the company and the sales of Xbox 360 have beat out new Wii U from Nintendo which got released on 18th November 2012.
