Hyderabad: Multi-starrer movies though not are new in Tollywood, the trend has slowed down in the recent years. Earlier NTR, ANR, Krishna, Sobhan Babu and other heroes acted in many multi-starrer movies during 70’s and 80’s. Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is one of the recent movies that starred two big heroes. Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu play the lead roles and Anjali and Samantha play the female leads. Prakash Raj, Jaya Sudha, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani and others play the other main characters.
Music for the film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is scored by Mickey J Mayor and back ground music is scored by Mani Sharma. Producer of the movie is Dil Raju. Story, screenplay and director is by Srikanth Addala.
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu movie created interest as top heroes such as Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh agreed to do a multi starrer. The movie proved to be worth watching except for some repeated scenes and some unnecessary scenes.
The story of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is a story of the family of Relangi, played by Prakash Raj. He has to sons Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu. They are not rich but there is a great relation between the members of the family. Seetha is the niece of Prakash Raj played by Anjali. He grows up in the house of Prakash Raj and she was to marry Venkatesh. Rao Ramesh plays the character of a relative of the family who is rich and gives importance to money. His daughter Samantha loves Mahesh Babu.
Both the brothers have different ideas and morals and they could not settle down in life. Career growth, money and income are the issues that damage the relation between the brothers. Director Srikanth Addala succeeded in showing how important is it to maintain good relations between family members.
The character of Venkatesh shows serious emotions but emotions are not dropped. Main attraction of the film is the character of Mahesh Babu. This is a reflection of today’s youth. Dialogues are written by Ganesh Patro and the director of the film. The dialogues are very natural and realistic. Photography by Guhan also is to be mentioned specially. Srikanth Addala dealt the family relations well. This is the first multi-starrer movie in Telugu after 25 years. All the character of the movie behave naturally and the audience will feel as if they are watching a family next door.
Director of the movie Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu should be appreciated for making a movie with good family values. Actors are not given importance but the characters are. The unit of the film should also be appreciated for daring to make a movie in these days. Mahesh and Venkatesh have given excellent performances.
