Rangabashyam passes away at the age of 79
15.07.2013: Ragabashyam who is a famous Surgical Gastroenterologist passes away at the age of 79. In 2002, he received Padma Bhushan Award. In India he was the first person to introduce the degree course in Surgical Gastroenterologist. He also designed Diploma Course for nursing students. Name of this Diploma Course is Enterostomal Therapy Diploma. He acted as honorary surgeon to R Venkatraman who is the Former President of India
Satyam Company has merged with Tech Mahindra, share price increased by 3 %
15.07.2013: on 15th July 2013 Satyam company has merged officially with Tech Mahindra. After the merger share price of the company has increased by 3%. After 2005 onwards, satyam became one of the top 5 IT companies in the country. In January 2009, biggest scam of the company came into light. As on 12th July 2013, Issued capital of the company has increased to 232 million against 129 millions.
22 Banks have violated RBI Rules regarding Anti Money Laundering and Customer Identification
15.07.2013: 22 Banks have violated RBI Rules regarding Anti Money Laundering and Customer Identification. Due to this RBI has imposed Rs.49.5 crores as penalty. Kotak Mahindra, SBI, Yes Bank, PNB, Bank of India and Canara Bank are also including in the violating the rules. RBI has strictly followed the rules regarding the maintenance of KYC (Know your Customer) records. These records should include import and sale of gold coins and cash transactions.
India suppress US in buying Nigerian Crude oil
15.07.2013: India has beaten US in buying Crude oil from Nigeria. Statistics are stating that from past 3 months India is buying more crude oil of all the countries. India is playing the key role in the development of Nigerian economy through building of workers in both the sectors (Public and Private), improving agriculture by using new techniques, establishing health care centers. India has targeted to invest Rs.16.6 billion dollars in Nigeria.
25 % increase in Foreign Direct Investments of India
15.07.2013: Every year Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in India are increasing by 25 %. DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) has released a data regarding the FDI’s. Data has stated that, India has received highest Foreign Direct Investments in the month of April i.e. 2.32 billion US dollars from past 6 months.
Payment will be made in terms of Rupees by India to Iran
15.07.2013: Agreement has been happened between Iran and India that, all the payment made by India will be done in terms of Rupees. From July 2011 onwards India is purchasing oil from Iran. 55 % of Payments are done in terms of Euros through Halkbank and 45 % of the amount deposited in UCO Bank in terms of Indian Rupees.
Kynan Chennai has won the gold medal in Shooting Championship Singapore
15.07.2013: Kynan Chenai is an India Shooter. In Singapore open Shooting Championship he won the gold medal. He is 22 years old. In 2008, he got gold medal in Common Wealth Youth Games. He is an expert in swimming.
Labour Law approved by Bangladesh Government
15.07.2013: Labor Law approved by Bangladesh Government on 15th July 2013. Several assignations came into light after the collapse of garment factory building in the month of April. As a result labor laws are approved by the government. Main Provisions in the Labor laws are Company Management has to deposit 5 % of profit in Employees Welfare Fund. Labors are having the right to form trade union.
Investigation officer has to take approval from Deputy commissioner of police to arrest under IT Act
15.07.2013: KK Vyas, Delhi Police, has passed order to its investigation officer not to arrest under Information Technology Act. Before arresting any person approval has to be taken from Deputy Commissioner of police. This order is passed based on the case of Union of India and Shreya Singhal in Supreme Court. KK Vyas is the DCP of Economic Offence Wing New Delhi.
