World Bank Banned Progressive Constructions for 11 years

29.11.2013: World Bank Banned Progressive Constructions, Hyderabad Based Construction Company, for 11 years. This decision was taken for alleged fraudulent practices in execution of 3 road contracts for National highway Authority of India. Company was founded by senior congress leader and Union Textiles Minister K.Sambasiva Rao. Now it is managing by Srivani Mullapudi.

29.11.2013: Women law intern informed to the 3 judge panel that former SC judge AK Ganguly had sexually harassed her. Three Judges were Ranjana Desai, HL Dattu and RM Lodha. They have taken the statement of Judge AK Ganguly and submitted the report to P.Sathasivam Chief Justice of India.

Threshold Limit of Mandatory E-Payment Reduced from 10lakhs to Rs.1 lakh

29.11.2013: Threshold Limit of Mandatory E-Payment Reduced by the Government from 10lakhs to Rs.1 lakh for both service tax and central excise payment. This will come into effect from 1st January 2014. As per the statement issued by the Government, service tax payers or manufacturers who has paid tax or duty of more than Rs.1 lakh in the earlier financial year shall be required to pay tax or duty through internet Banking.

An Agreement between Aids control and Union Ministry of Youth Affairs

29.11.2013: MoU is signed between by Aids control and Union Ministry of Youth Affairs. Main objective of MoU is to reach a large number of Youth engaged in sports activities at village, district and state level with information on STI/ HIV/ AIDS prevention and related services. Agreement was signed by Lov Verma, Secretary Department of AIDS control and Ajit M Saran, Secretary Department of Sports in New Delhi.

India’s first Synthetic Rubber Plant Launched by Moily

29.11.2013: India’s first Synthetic Rubber Plant Launched by Veerappa Moily, Union Petrol Minister at Panipat in Haryana. India’s first styrene butadiene rubber (e-SBR) unit was set up by ISRL (Indian Synthetic Rubber Limited). This is a joint venture promoted by Taiwan and Marubeni Corporation Japan, TSRC Corporation and Indian Oil. Annual plant capacity is 120 kilo tonnes. This will be used for manufacturing of dairy need products and manufacturing automobiles.

United States exempted some countries from tough Iranian Sanctions

29.11.2013: From tough Iranian Sanctions some countries were exempted by United States of America for reducing their dependence on Iranian oil. India and china are also included in exempted countries list. Taiwan, Turkey and Republic of Korea are also exempted from sections under the National Defence Authorisation Act.

National Tiger Conservation Authority Given Approval to set up 5th Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra

29.11.2013: National Tiger Conservation Authority has given Approval to set up 5th Tiger Reserve in Nagzira, Maharashtra. This reserve would be between Gondia and Bhandara districts. It would be home to surplus tigers from Tadoba, stated by Praveen Pardeshi, Principal Secretary Forests.
