5-Inch Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo with Quad-Core CPU Revealed In Leak

Cashing on the popularity of the Galaxy Grand range, Samsung is all set to bring in yet another variant of the device dubbed Galaxy Grand Neo, according to a report by SammyHub. The company recently launched its latest Grand 2 in India, here is the first impression of the leaked smartphone.

Taipei: The report claims that the Grand Neo will sport a 5-inch WVGA display with 800X480 pixel resolution. But there is no word on what type of display panel the company will employ. The device will be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core A7 processor, similar to the one founded in the Gran 2. It has been said that it will have 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage expandable up to 32 GB.

The alleged Galaxy Grand Neo will also run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with Samsung’s high-end smartphone feature called ‘Multi Window’. The rear panel of the smartphone will reportedly feature a soft-touch back, as found on the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Grand 2. There will be a 5 MP camera with auto focus and might be a 2 MP front facing camera. 2,100 mAh battery will also be available. This phone is expected to launch in the MWC 2014.

Aimed at budget phone users, it is expected to be priced well below the price tag attached to the Grand 2. Apart from these, no other details of the device are out yet.

Rose Gold Galaxy Note 3 launched in South Korea

Samsung has launched the Rose Gold colour variant of the Galaxy Note 3 in its home market, a month after officially announcing the new colour option (along with the Merlot Red model). Availability will begin from January 4th and the phablet only sports a golden accent on the sides instead of all over the device (with the option of black and white on the front and back) and the gold finishing reportedly also extends to the S Pen itself.

The specs remain the same as before and the Rose Gold model should be making its way to other markets in the near future. All three major carriers in South Korea will be carrying the new colour option.
