Bentley Continental GT V8 S shown at Detroit Motor Show – 521 bhp V8 engine delivers 26.8 mpg on US soil
Bentley has decided to show case the fastest four door sedan in the world, the Flying Spur at the ongoing Detroit Motor Show for the first time along with the brand new ‘Continental GT V8 S’. Bentley went successful last year with a growth rate of around 19 % on overall sales and the growth of sales in US market alone was about 28% when compared with the preceding year.
The official debut of the Continental GT V8 S was held last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the model stood among the most reputed models of the show. It took more than 6 months for the model to get launched into the United States market. The model comes up with a number of changes relatively than the former versions and most of the changes are visible. The front fascia of the V8 S comes with a brand new splitter added to the existing one and the rear end gets a new diffuser. 20 inch full alloy wheels enhances the elegance of the model along with the sill extensions to both the sides.

The V8 engine of GT V8 S is capable of generating around 521 bhp at the peak and the power gets transmitted to all four wheels via an 8 speed ZF TRONIC automatic transmission gear box. The model is capable of accelerating to 100 kmph from rest within just 4.3 seconds only and the top speed of the vehicle is around 191 mph. As per the information, the new Continental GT V8 S is capable of delivering mileage of around 26.8 miles per gallon on US soil and the CO2 emission figure of the model is around 246 grams per kilometre.
