Customers can place their pre-orders for the device from February 4 midnight ET on Samsung’s website, or via Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Tiger Direct, PC Richard and Sons, Fry’s, and Newegg. Verizon will be the first US carrier to offer the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 with 4G LTE connectivity, due sometime later this quarter.
Beijing: The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet was officially announced and is just about to release in various worldwide regions. Samsung recently gave a shipping date of February 4 for the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 in the UK, but buyers in the US haven’t got to wait too much longer. Office Depot has now made pre-orders available for the 64GB Wi-Fi version of the Note Pro 12.2 and states that the tablet will release on February 13.
The Note Pro 12.2 is a high-end tablet and it also comes with a high price tag. The Office Depot price is $849.99 and while US buyers are right to feel that’s on the expensive side, it’s certainly less than the UK price of 649 ($1060) for the Wi-Fi version.
The NotePro, recently unveiled alongside the Galaxy TabPro, has been available to pre-order the NotePro for the past week, with the first 300 people getting a free gamepad worth 90. If you place your order before 4 pm today you should receive the NotePro tomorrow.
The Samsung Galaxy Note PRO is a 12.2-inch tablet targeting more business-minded users. As well as playing host to the company’s now familiar S-Pen stylus, the high-end device packs in a raft of productivity features around a premium array of components and an all new user interface.
It feels large but not heavy, with the 750g weight distributed evenly across the tablet’s full form to give it a pleasing balance in the hand.
On a performance front, the NotePRO’s quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM breezed through our hands-on tests, with no sign of slowing or stuttering in sight. The tablet is set to be available in both 32GB and 64GB storage capacities.
As demanded by modern consumer expectations, the Samsung Galaxy Note PRO plays host to a pair of integrated cameras. With an 8-megapixel snapper on the rear, video calls are made possible by a 2-megapixel forward-facing camera.
The NotePro is a 12.2-inch tablet with an S Pen stylus. It comes in black or white, with a 1,600×2,560 screen and octa-core processor packing four 1.9GHz and four 1.3GHz cores.
Apart from the S Pen, it’s the same as the TabPro tablet specs-wise, but the TabPro also comes in a range of sizes, from a pocketable 8.4-inches to an iPad-rivalling 10.1 inches and an oversized 12.2 inches.
The Galaxy NotePro 12.2 will cost you $750 for the 32GB model and $850 for the 64GB option.
