Samsung Galaxy Star Trio Launched in Brazil: Galaxy Star Trio with Triple SIM Support

Samsung launched a handset with triple SIM support. LG also recently launched three SIM device with the name Optimus L1 II Tri in Brazil. Samsung Star Trio comes with 3.1 inch display and is powered by 1 GHz single core processor. It is not clear whether this entry level phone will be launched in other countries or not.

Brasilia: Close on the heels of LG launching its Optimus L1 II Tri triple SIM smartphone in the Brazilian market, Samsung silently launched its Galaxy Star Trios with triple-SIM support in South America’s fastest growing handset market.

Similar to LG’s device, Samsung’s smartphone is available for purchase through several authorized resellers for $165 in the Brazilian market. But LG Optimus L1 II Tri has been priced at $141.

Galaxy Star Trios, which is far from being impressive, has features like a 3.14-inch touch screen and the display resolution is 320 x 240 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon single-core processor whose clock speed is 1 GHz. it is backed by 512MB of RAM. The handset features 2MP rear camera. 4GB of internal storage is provided and there is also microSD card slot for expansion of memory. It has 1300 mAh battery.

LG Optimus L1 II Tri and Galaxy Star Trio share similar features except that LG device has a little bit small screen. Other specs such as 512 MB RAM, 2 megapixel primary camera and 4 GB f internal storage are same. LG device is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. there is also provision for adding extra storage and the it has a better battery which is 1540 mAh compared to Samsung device which comes with 1300 mAh battery.
