Democracy In Congress: VH Forwards His Candidature For CM Post
Each member of the party is eligible to become CM in the congress party. However, this democracy in the party can prove to be costly for the people of the state.
Hyderabad: The so called democracy in the congress party gives an opportunity to all the workers to grow the cadre and also become CM as well. Despite the ‘sealed cover culture’, congress claims that it has democracy within the party.
The PM position in the country has been reserved for Gandhi-Nehru clan (as the congress believes it so). The present PM Manmohan Singh got an opportunity to occupy the position because the Sonia Gandhi (despite the support of the required MPs), could not become the PM and she was in dire need of a remote control PM.
Sonia and the congress found a obedient PM in Manmohan who was ready to be ‘remote controlled’ and that is the reason for the PM post going to persons not belonging to Gandhi-Nehru clan. The only other period when the PM position was occupied by persons other than the clan was during PV Narasimha Rao who happened to be the most acceptable person for all the congress MPs and that too Sonia was not in active politics.
One of the senior congress leaders, V Hanumantha Rao (aka VH) has been a sincere loyalist of Rajeev and his family. This qualification alone made him grow from the position of congress workers to AP Youth Congress chief, the joint secretary of APCC and also the PCC chief. At present he got blessed with the Rajya Sabha seat and he is enjoying this with the blessings of congress high command for the last 12 years.
During the peak of T-Movement, VH was rarely seen in the public. Most of the time he was in Delhi praising Rajeev & his family. Besides his RS seat, he is now contesting the Amberpet MLA constituency in Hyderabad city (his place of birth). His main opponent in this constituency is none other than Kishan Reddy (who is chief of AP unit of BJP).
Seeing the episode of Kiran Kumar Reddy (who all of a sudden became the CM of united AP in 2011 with the blessings of congress high command), VH is now claiming his candidature for the CM post of new Telangana state.
Unfortunately, VH is not able to recollect that there are as many aspirants for the CM post as the number of MLA, MLC and MP from the congress party. Seniors like Janareddy, Rajanarsimha, Geetareddy, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ponnala etc., are fighting for their respective position in the Telangana government and now VH also joined the fray for the post of CM making the race more interesting.
