Shortest Route For Win In Elections
Newer methods are invented to find the shortest route for success in elections.
New Delhi: With the present general elections in full swing, the various parties are practicing applying different techniques for success.
Some of the parties are talking about the planning, safety, development etc., whereas some others are involved in ‘hate speeches’. Another route for success in elections is ‘preventing opponents from filing and canvassing’.
While the first method is positive step the remaining methods are having negative effect on the election system itself.
Leaders like Modi, Chandrababu are talking about the progress they have done earlier and asking for votes.
Congress leaders could not find any development work by them and hence are resorting to attacks on Narendra Modi et al.
TRS’ boss KCR has been very famous for attacking all the opponents in his own style. His local accent adds more punch to his dialogues.
Hate speeches by leaders like Azam Khan, Amit shah, Giriraj Singh have been viewed very seriously by election commission. The EC issued notices to those leaders and banned them from canvassing. While Amit Shah sent an apology and explained his version about his speech, his suspension was lifted. Azam Khan stuck to his comments and hence his suspension continued giving an opportunity to Mulayam’s Samajwadi Party to attack the EC. SP was quick to re-act blaming EC of partial treatment. Giriraj Singh has been absconding till he got anticipatory bill against the warrant issued on his name.
Point to be noted in the context of Giriraj Singh & Amit Shah (both belonging to BJP) is that none of the top brass of BJP came to their rescue, but rather discounted their hate speeches. Amit Shah is projected as ‘right hand’ of BJP PM Candidate Narendra Modi and Shah is also responsible for BJP campaign in UP.
Political parties are finding newer ways to attract voters by giving undue promises at election time. This activity is in addition to distribution of cash, liquor and other valuables (which is very much against the code of conduct as imposed by EC).
Elimination of competition is ensured by creating hurdles for the contestants in their nomination process. We can see this behavior in TRS Activists attacking Nagarjuna Rao (Jai Samaikyandhra Party candidate from Khammam).
A riot on opponents is another methodology applied by certain political parties. Actor turned politician Jayasudha (sitting MLA from Secunderabad on congress ticket and seeking re-election) was purportedly attacked by YSRCP supporters. She strongly condemned the attack on her and also lodged a complaint in the Chilkalguda Police Station.
