Honda CB 300F Leaked in US – 286 CC mill to beat Kawasaki Z250 and Suzuki Inazuma
Honda is setting the things ready for the launch of the production ready CBR 300R which was confirmed by the images revealed over web by some enthusiast about a few days ago. To the surprise of all, a paparazzo has revealed few documents from the California Air Resources Board which have confirmed that the US government has approved the monikers CB300F, CBR 300R and CBR 300RA. As per the respective information, we can expect the launch of the mysterious CB 300F very soon.
Few images of the upcoming CB 300F have already been revealed over web in the past and they are making a lot of buzz now. As we could observe from the respective images, the upcoming performance bike has almost the same styling as that of the next gen CBR 300R. Unlike any racing spec performance bikes, the upcoming CB 300F is expected to be a lot like other traditional street bikes most probably. We could expect a comfortable seating position with the CB 300F and most of the spares such as mud guards, exhaust system, tyre huggers and etc are expected to be adopted from CBR series.
The Japanese giant is likely to adopt the engine for the upcoming 300F from the former edition of the CBR 250R. It may sound ridiculous to adopt engine from a 250 CC bike for a 300 CC bike in general but the manufacturer is expected to bore up the respective engine. We can expect the upcoming 300 F to get fitted with a 286 CC single cylinder engine that could produce around 30.8 PS power at the peak along with 27 Nm of torque. Engine is expected to get accompanied with a 6 speed transmission gear box.
As per the information, Honda is likely to bring two versions of the CBR series 300 CC bike for the American market. The base variant is going to be dubbed as CBR 300R and a higher spec variant is likely to be dubbed as CBR 300RA. The major difference between the variants is going to be the availability of ABS. However, all the three high capacity street bikes are going to feature disk brakes on the rear as well as in the front. Honda has to ensure that the upcoming CB 300F possess the ability to tackle other successful models in the market such as Kawasaki Z250 and Suzuki Inazuma.
