Honda Launched its Cheapest Bike CD 100 Dream in 110 CC Segment for Rs. 41,000

Honda Motor Cycle and Scooter India (HMSI) released a new bike in Dream series. The newly launched motor cycle is dubbed as CD 100 Dream and is priced Rs. 41,000 (Delhi Ex-showroom). This is the most affordable bike sold by Honda till now. This is the third bike launched in Dream series. This is Rs. 5,000 less than the price of Dream Neo bike and Rs. 7,000 cheaper than Dream Yuga bike.

New Delhi: Honda released CD 110 Dream bike targeting the common people who use motor cycles for their everyday needs in rural areas. The company is hoping to get a hold in this motor cycle segment also. HMSI vice president said that their portfolio of 100-110 CC segment is now complete with the introduction of CD 110 Dream bike. This is the cheapest bike in all Honda bikes. This will fulfil the basic sub segment needs in 110-110 CC segment. The company is expecting to sell eight lakh bikes in the coming financial year.

Honda CD 100 Dream

110 CC engine that is used in other dream bikes is used in the latest bike also. The bike will be 74 kilometer mileage as Hone Eco Technology is used. Sales of 110 CC Dream will begin from next month. Tubeless tyres, air filter are few features in this bike. It is expected that Honda 110 CC Dream will competed with the likes of Honda Motocorp HF-Deluxe and TVS Star City bikes.

According to industry sources, there is not much difference between the latest bike and other Dream bikes except the silver color alloy wheels and body graphics. This bike is available in red, blue and gray straps on black color. This is launched targeting the rural and urban customers. The bike will be dispatched to dealers from the second week of this month. Honda is also launching a new 160 cc bike.

Honda is presently selling Dream Yuga, Dream Neo, CB Twister models in 100-110 cc segment. The company sold 7.3 lakh bikes in 2013 financial year. The company now has 25% market share in the first quarter of this financial year.

Hero motorcycles and scooters India is expecting to invest Rs. 1000 crores on expansion and other activities in this fiscal year. In previous financial year the company invested Rs. 5,200 core investments and the investments will reach Rs. 6,200 crores. Presently the company has three manufacturing plants in Haryana, Rajasthan and Karnataka. Annual production capacity of these plants is 46 lakhs. Fourth plant is under construction in Gujarat. Annual production capacity will increase to 58 lakhs if the fourth plant also starts production.
