07.08.2014: New Chairman of Dronacharya Award Selection Committee is Ajit Singh. Earlier he acted as Hockey Captain. He achieved 3 times Olympian championship. This committee consists of 15 members out of which 3 officials and 12 spots persons. Three officials of the committee were Deputy Secretary from the Ministry, Joint Secretary from the Ministry and Director General of the sports Authority of India.

07.08.2014: New Guidelines issued by RBI regarding unified bill payment system. RBI proposed BBPS (Bharat Bill Payment System). It will have a single brand image providing convenience of anytime anywhere payment to the customers.

A Committee appointed by Sumitra Mahajan to review Parliament Security
07.08.2014: A Committee appointed by Sumitra Mahajan Lok Sabha Speaker to review Parliament Security. This committee was appointed under the chairmanship of former home secretary RK Singh to review Parliament Security. Other members of the committee were former Mumbai Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh and former Rajasthan DGP Harish Chandra Meena.
Two Labour Reform Bills introduced in Lok Sabha by Union Government
07.08.2014: Two Labour Reform Bills introduced in Lok Sabha by Union Government. These bills were introduced by Union Labour and Employment Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. Those bills were The Apprentices (Amendment) Bill 2014 and The Factories (Amendment) Bill 2014. Aim of these bills is to ensure safety and welfare of workers at work place.
Iraq’s largest Christian town seized by ISIS group militants
07.08.2014: Iraq’s largest Christian town, Qaraqosh and surrounding areas seized by ISIS group militants. After Kurdish troops pulled out from these places militants had taken control of these places. After the capture several residents of Tal Kayf, Qaraqosh, Karamlesh and Bartella fled from the town.
