Asus Zenfone 5 Vs iPhone 5S: Zenfone 5 Supports Java but iPhone 5S Does not
With the new Asus Zenfone 5 out in markets, it is being compared to iPhone 5s that came out in September 2013. Both touch screens phone are being sold in Amazon, snapdeal and flipkart.
Mumbai: Asus Zenfone 5 is a 5 inch phone with 720×1280 pixels while iPhone 5s is 4 inches and has a resolution of 640×1136 pixels. Asus Zenfone 5 comes in Black, White, Red, Purple and Gold colors while iPhone 5s comes in Space Gray, Gold and Silver colors. Both have an IPS LCD screen.
Asus Zenfone 5 has a light sensor, proximity sensor and a scratch resistant glass while iPhone 5s has light sensor, proximity sensor and an oleo phobic coating which is an enhanced protection against scratches and smudges. Both phones also have capacitive touch screens.
Asus Zenfone has a 1.6 GHz dual core processor which is greater than iPhone 5s’s 1.3 GHZ dual core processor. Zenfone uses an Intel Atom Z2560 processor make. The iPhone 5s uses the Apple A7 64 bit processor. The RAM storage of the Asus Zenfone 5s 2 GB and internal storage is 8 GB and can be expanded up to 64 GB. The RAM storage of iPhone 5s is 1GB, the internal storage is 16 GB and is not expandable.
Asus Zenfone 5 has an 8 Mega Pixel camera with a LED flash while iPhone 5s has an 8 Mega Pixel camera with a dual LED flash. The front facing camera for both Asus and iPhone 5s is 2 mega pixel and 1.2 mega pixel respectively. Asus Zenfone offers a back illuminated sensor, an autofocus and digital image stabilization. iPhone 5s camera has a digital zoom, face detection and panorama among its other features.
While the Zenfone uses the Android 4.3 operating system, iPhone uses an iOS 7. Though the Zenfone offers a Java support system, the iPhone does not. Both phones have Wi-Fi and blue tooth connection but no NFC. With iPhone offering only an 8 hours talk time of battery life, Asus has a stronger battery life which allows a talk time of up to 18 hours and 30 minutes. Even with the improved hardware, iPhone 5s falls short in its pros when compared to the Zenfone.
