Deepika Padukone: Despite Strong Personal Issues, Delivering Success At The Box Office

Mumbai: The beautiful Bollywood heroine Deepika Padukone is considered as one of the best bets in terms of commercial success at the box office. Deepika starting her Bollywood career against Shahrukh in blockbuster movie Om Shanti Om utilised the grand success that the movie brought. She could get more and more offers in terms of different roles in many hits and super hits in her career.
She did act in hit movies like Bachna Yeh Haseeno & Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (with actor Ranbir Kapoor). The relationship between Deepika & Ranbir Kapoor did attract the headlines till their break up in 2009 (after two years of relationship). Deepika went on record to say that she was ‘cheated’ by her boy friend. Her boy friend Ranbir initially rejected her statement but subsequently he accepted that he ‘cheated’ relationship out of immaturity. Now the latest reports indicate that Ranbir is in relationship with Katrina Kaif and they are likely tie the knot in February 2015.
Deepika continued her successful movie career with films like Race2, Chennai Express, Ram-Leela etc. Chennai Express provided another opportunity for Deepika to act Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh after their initial movie Om Shanti Om. The movie once again repeated the same success rate to become another blockbuster in the history of Bollywood movies.
Deepika’s successful combination with Ranveer Singh started with Ram-Leela. The movie gave another opportunity for grapevine to find ‘relationship’ between Deepika & Ranveer. While there are no denials from Deepika or Ranveer (on their relationship), the stars are continuing their success journey in their respective movie careers.
Deepika could find opportunity to expand her domain. She did act in south movie Kochadayyan with super star Rajnikant. Deepika also acted in English movie ‘Finding Fanny’ with seniors like Naseeruddin Shah & Dimple Kapadia. The movie recorded hit talk at the box office.
Deepika’s latest movie Happy New Year, once again with Shahrukh Khan. The movie received one of the highest attention from industry sources and is scheduled to release in India on 24th October 2014 a day after its release in overseas market. The movie is scheduled to release in around 6000 screens (5000 in India and 1000 in overseas).
Deepika is scheduled to appear in her forthcoming movies like Piku (with Amitabh Bachhan and the story deals the issue of father-daughter relationship). Deepika’s next movie is Tamasha with Ranbir Kapoor once again (scheduled to release in November 2014). Deepika is also appearing with her boy friend Ranveer Singh in Bajirao Mastani scheduled to release in December 2015.
