Deepika Padukone Expanding Her Domain
Deepika Padukone is one of the most successful heroines in Bollywood. She is planning to increase her domain.
New Delhi: Deepika Padukone has been in movie industry since 2006. That year Deepika acted in one Kannada movie ‘Aishwarya’. However, Deepika came to fame with her immediate film ‘Om Shanti Om’ the next year where she acted with Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan. The magnificent success of the movie gave her career the required boosting wherein she was flooded with offers from different producers.
With successive hits, Deepika is found to be one of the most favoured heroines in Bollywood. During the last couple of year she acted in many hit movies like Cocktail, Race2, Bombay Talkies, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Ram-Leeela etc. Her association with many heroes proved to be successful and the movies created records at the box office. Some of the blockbusters in her career include Chennai Express with Shahrukh & Ram-Leela with Ranvir Singh. (Incidentally Deepika is reported to be in love with Ranvir Singh and their relationship is making news in Bollywood).
While Deepika’s new movie Happy New Year (with Shahrukh playing the lead role) is coming before the audience on 24th October, she is having her future movies including Piku, Tamasha, Bajirao Mastani.
One more interesting aspect of Deepika’s career has been that she also acted in south with superstar Rajnikant for his movie Kochadayyan. Though the movie could not create records at the box office, Deepika’s success curve did not get affected.
Deeepika has been lucky enough to find place in bi-lingual movie (Hindi & English) with many senior artistes. Her movie Finding Fanny had Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia etc. The movie received good collections (Rs.45 crores collected against budget of just Rs.12 crores) and the reviews suggested ‘Finding Fanny is the lowest grosser in the career of Deepika Padukone’.
Deepika is also having another movie scheduled for release on 30th April 2015. The movie ‘Piku’ will be having Deepika playing the role of Amitabh’s daughter and the story discusses about the father-daughter relationship.
Now the latest reports indicate that Deepika is interested to expand her domain. Though Deepika wants to act in foreign movies as well, Hollywood is not her immediate priority. She is interested to act in French or Iranian movies. During the Mumbai Film Festive, Deepika went on record to state that ‘Priceless’ is one of her favourite French movies’ and she ‘is ready to work with directors that she identified.’.
With successive hits, Deepika is bound to go places and presently she is busy promoting her forthcoming movie ‘Happy New Year’ with Shahrukh and the movie is scheduled to release on 24th October.
