Modi Able To Kick Start “Swachh Bharath”
The unending attempts of Modi to take forward his slogan of ‘Swachh Bharath’ is gaining momentum in the country.
Delhi: Kudos to Modi who has been canvassing his ideology of ‘Swachh Bharath’. Modi is able to get first success when the Delhi Jal Board started the process to clean Yamuna.
As we all know, our country is gifted with many rivers that contribute to the development of civilization as well as human development. However the policies of our earlier governments failed to stop pollution of many rivers.
Many rivers get polluted when the industries on the banks of the rivers release their waste, sewage and industrial waters into these rivers without proper treatment.
We can show numerous examples of rivers having same problem. The Ganges, the yamuna and even the Hussain Sagar vouch for the pollution caused by the mentioned factors.
The earlier governments have spent crores of rupees in cleaning the rivers. The money could not get the desired result.
Modi took oath to clean the Ganga from the beginning of his career as PM. Subsequently, he created an ideology of ‘Swachh Bharath’ wherein every celebrity is contributing his best to clean the country. Though the main idea behind ‘Swachh Bharath’ is ensuring clean & pollution/corruption free India, the ideology of Modi is gaining momentum.
Taking cue from the various corporate giants who are doing their best for cleaning India, Delhi Jal Board also started action to clean the Yamuna River. This river is the lifeline for Delhi offering drinking & industrial waters for people & industries in and around our capital.
The DJB, as its first step towards cleaning the river, identified 3 major nallahs that are mixing the sewage water to the river. The board is establishing sewerage treatment plants in all these points and is trying to ensure that only treated water is released into the river. The DJB started its pilot project by launching the first phase of 59 km interceptor sewer project.
This is a welcome step in terms of the government run organization like Delhi Jal Board is taking the first step to support ‘Swachh Bharath’.
The BJP has long way to go before confirming that the ‘Swachh Bharath’ program is successful and the agenda includes cleaning the rivers, the cities and also the political system to ensure corruption free government in our country.
