Vivek Murty Appointed US Surgeon General
24.03.2014: Indian American Vivek Murthy is appointed as US Surgeon General. The appointment was made by Vice President Joe Biden. Vivek is 37 years old and is now the highest ranking Indian American in Obama administration. He is the 19th Surgeon General of US. He completed his medical education from Harvard University and Business Administration from Yale University.
Delhi Daredevil Won over Mumbai in IPL
24.04.2015: Delhi Daredevil defeated Mumbai Indian by 37 runs in the IPL T20 match that was played at Feroz Shah Kota stadium. Delhi Daredevils batted first and scored 190 runs in 20 overs by losing four wickets. Mumbai Indians team could score only 153 runs by losing nine wickets.
BSNL Announced Free Calling from 9pm to 7 am to Any Network
24.03.2015: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Lt announced an interesting offer to its landline customers. They can now make free calls to customers of any network across country from 9 pm to 7 am. This offer will come into effect from May 1. This offer is introduced by BSNL to win back customers to fixed-line.

24.04.2015: AAP government declared Rs. 10 lakh compensation to the Rajasthan farmer who hanged himself at the AAP rally on 22nd April. AAP leaders and Delhi police are accusing each other for failing to stop the death.
Indian Railways Launch New Mobile Phone App
24.04.2015: Indian Railways launched a new mobile phone app through which passengers can obtain tickets in unreserved and general category. This will help the passengers to avoid standing in queues for longer hours to purchase tickets. This will always eliminate the need for printing unreserved tickets and thereby saving paper. The new mobile app will be available for both Android and Windows mobile phones and can be downloaded from Google Play Store and Windows Store.
Zomato Acquired NexTable Reservation Platform of US
24.03.2015: Zomato, restaurant search app of India acquired NexTable, US based table reservation platform. Customers can make restaurant reservation online using NexTable platform. After acquisition, the platform will be renamed as Zomato Book.
