Xiaomi launched a variant of Redmi 2 in China for a price of CNY 599. The specifications are similar to Redmi 2 except for the CPU. Highlight of this affordable smartphone is that it comes with 4G LTE support.

Beijing: Xiaomi Redmi 2A sports 4.7 inch display and the resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels. Body dimensions are 134 x 37.2 x 9.4 mm. The handset is powered by 1.5 GHz quad core Leadcore processor and is paired with 1 GB RAM. Internal storage is 8 GB and memory can be expanded up to 32 GB via micro SD. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. Redmi 2A features 8 megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front facing camera. It supports GPS, 3G, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.
