Huawei Ascent Mate Comes with An Affordable Price Tag
Beijing: A pre-order page was found on the Chinese Site Liaow which gave the price of Ascent Mate as $575. This is the first indication of the Huawei Ascent Mate on the internet. The price thus seems to be very affordable.
Huawei Ascend Mate was expected to give a tough competition for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which also came with a 5.5 inch display. The price of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is offered with a price tag of $700. But it should be remembered that the price may be different when it comes out of China as there will be taxes and other costs added to the price that appeared in the website. Huawei Ascend Mate was lunched at CES 2013. The price may attract the consumers who love to buy a Galax Note 2 but do not want to pay such a big price.

Huawei Ascend Mate was unveiled at CES 2013 in January. It has a 6.1 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is provided with a corning Gorilla Glass. The dimensions of the device are 163.5 x 85.7 x 9.9 mm and it weighs 198 grams. It comes with a RAM of 2 GB and the storage can be expanded up to 32 GB with microSD card slot.
Coming to the connectivity feature, Huawei Ascend Mate supports Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA and Wi-Fi Hotspot. The device has dual cameras. Primary camera at the rear is of 8 megapixel with 3264 x 2448 pixel with autofocus and LED flash. Other features are geo tagging, face detection and HDR. Ascend Mate runs on Android operating system v4.1 Jelly Bean. It has accelerometer, proximity, gyro and compass sensors. The processor under the cover is 1.5 GHz Quad-core processor.
Huawei Ascend Mate will be available in Crystal Black and Pure White color. It comes with preloaded apps such as Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, Google Talk, Calendar and Maps. The device is powered by a Li-ion 4050 mAh battery that is expected to give a stand by time up to 213 hours.
