Huawei Ascend P6S to come up with Octa Core Chipset: Ascend P6 to get Android 4.4 Update
Huawei recently launched the thinnest smartphone in the world Ascend P6. It comes loaded with Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system. Ascend P6 will be updated to Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. Huawei also announced that it will come with Ascend PS6 which will be powered by octa core processor.
Beijing: Huawei announced that it is going to launch a smartphone that will be powered by octa core processor. Dubbed as Ascend P6S, is the successor of Ascend P6. The latest octa core chipset comes within built 3G capabilities and will extend the battery life.
There are not many details available about Ascent P6S except that it will be powered by Octa core processor. Others that have come up with octa core processors are Samsung which launched exynos 5 Octa core chips and MediaTek which launched MT6592 chipset.
Apart from launching a new handset, the company also revealed that operating system up date for Ascend P6 will be available from January. Ascend P6 can then be upgraded to Android 4.4 Kitkat operating system. This update will make Ascend P6 the first handset in the Ascend series to come up with Kitkat operating system. There are other handsets also offered by the company but there is no information on whether the update will be available for other handsets also.
Ascend P6 was launched in the month of June. It came to India in October and is offered with a price tag of Ra. 29,999. The super thin smartphone was launched with Android 4.4 Jelly bean operating system. The handset will skip 4.3 up gradation and directly will be upgraded to 4.4 Kitkat operating system. The handset comes with 4.7 inch display and the display resolution is 720 x 1280 pixels. Ascend P6 is powered by 1.5 GHz K3B2 quad core processor. The processor is combined with 2 GB RAM. It comes with 8 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front facing camera.
