Tata Nano to get Power Steering – Diesel version in queue, price may get raised by Rs. 10k to Rs. 15k
Tata Motors has already been highly successful with the launch of the Nano series and the upgrades of the model launched earlier this year have also given the manufacturer a breakthrough. The manufacturer has offered a lot of features with the smallest and cheapest car and the manufacturer is working very hard to add some more. As per the information, Nano is going to get power steering very soon.
Nano has stood tall tackling other rival models in the Indian market that are feature rich and comfortable for handling. But there are several issues noticed which troubled most of the buyers and have been brought to the notice of the manufacturer a number of times. Lack of power steering is the major drawback of the model which is dominating the awesome features offered for such a low price tag. Normal steering is not an issue when the car is travelling at speeds greater than 25 kmph as the steering can be turned easily without any difficulty.
But Nano has been specially designed for the middle class buyers who are mostly concentrated in urban areas in order to excel in their career. The journeys in urban areas are very tedious with heavy traffic and thus there is least probability of running the vehicle at higher speeds all the time. Thus, power steering becomes vital for urban commuting and Tata Motors has finally realized its necessity. It is informed that Tata is going to unveil a new variant of Nano hatch back very soon that will come up with power steering.
As Nano is a rear wheel drive type vehicle, Tata may opt for equipping the vehicle with electronic power steering most probably. Nano has been upgraded recently with few cosmetic changes to both front as well as rear fascia. The power steering version of the model may get unveiled somewhere next year and the diesel version of Nano is also going to be debuted officially next year. The upgraded edition of the Tata Nano may be around Rs. 10000 – Rs. 15000 costlier than the current edition.
