Finally the prestigious 2014 Auto Expo has begun at Greater Noida and all the leading automotive giants from the country have made the show exciting with a number of fresh concepts and upgrades. The leading Indian car maker, Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the new Celerio budget friendly hatch back with a blast. The manufacturer has proudly boasted of offering a wide number of exclusive features for such a low price range.

The external design of the model looks amazing and it looks quite different from the former hatch backs of the manufacturer such as Alto and A Star and etc. The brand new Celerio has its dimensions as 3600 mm in length and 1600 mm in width and the wheel base of the model is around 2425 mm. Maruti Suzuki is offering 6 different variants of the model basing on the transmission mechanism used and a new concept of ‘Auto Manual Transmission (AMT)’ is being offered with the model for the first time in India. Maruti is also offering a total of seven colours for the exterior exclusively.

All 6 variants of the Celerio hatch back are powered with a 1.0 litre three cylinder K series petrol engine that is capable of generating around 67 bhp at the peak along with 90 Nm of torque. Engine comes mated to a 5 speed manual transmission gear box in the base variant. The Auto Manual Transmission powered variants assures the massive fuel economy of a manual transmission powered car and the clutch less comfort offered by an automatic transmission vehicle. The manual transmission variant of the model delivers a massive 23.1 kilometers of mileage per one litre.
