Android Lollipop Operating System: New Features in Lollipop

Google recently released the latest Android operating system Lollipop. Google is confident that their latest operating system will become popular with the users. Comparing to Kitkat OS, Lollipop has many new features. Latest features from design to connectivity are added.

Mumbai: Google made many changes in its latest Lollipop version of operating system. Lollipop is the only version to which design of the OS is changed after 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich version. New material design is introduced in this version. Dialer and contacts lists are good examples of material design when compared to Kitkat interface. Developers are also allowed to use Android apps. Attractive icons are specialty of Lollipop version.

Lock screen: in lollipop version, there is no need to unlock the phone to read the message. Few changes are made to the home screen when compared to Kitkat version. Few new icons are added. Few changes are made to navigation buttons style. Triangle, circle and square buttons are added.

Multitasking: In Lollipop version, apps can be seen in 3D rotary style. This is an advanced feature compared to Kitkat. Each app has a card. To close the app, just swap to the side. Drop down notification bar is also completely redesigned.

Notifications: Lock screen, notification bar, notifications are different in Android L. Double tap on app to open the required app.

Performance: Not only the design but many new features are added to Android Lollipop, which is the latest version of the operating system. Stock apps, third party apps and Android platform functioning will be improved for the lollipop users as Google is changed to ART. Lollipop supports 64 bit processors. Till now there are no Android devices that support 64 bit. This is a good feature for users who want speed.

Battery life: battery life is one of the major problems for soft phone users. Smartphones does not offer longer battery life. Lollipop allows prefect vota developers that find apps that utilize more power. New battery save mode adds 90 minutes battery life which is very impressive.

Security: Android is a security key element for the users. Android introduced a new feature for security. With the help of security feature, the smartphone and tablet can be unlocked without entering the pin.

Connectivity: Google concentrated on connectivity issues with Android Lollipop. For example Android TV is introduced in Lollipop. Google is also saying that WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity will be improved with Lollipop. There is no doubt that users will love the Lollipop version of Android system which comes with better features that Kitkat.
