Comparison of Moto E and Redmi 1S Smartphones
The much awaited Android phones have been released in India by Google. Motorola’s Moto E and Xiaomi’s Redmi 1S are two budget friendly phones which have both same hardware and software and differ slightly only in terms of design.
Bangalore: Moto E is a touch screen phone that comes in both Black and White colors. It has a 4.30 inch screen with a display resolution of 540×960 pixels. It has a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch. The color saturation is pretty nice and it has good brightness levels. Moto E has a Gorilla Corning Glass to protect it from scratches.
Redmi 1S is a touch screen phone that comes in color grey. It has a 4.70 inch screen with a display resolution of 720×1280 pixels and it has a pixel density of 312 pixels per inch. The device has bold colors and good viewing angles. The display panel is made from Asahi Dragontrail glass.
Moto E has a 1.2 GHz dual core processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor make. It has 1 GB RAM with 4 GB internal storage. It has microSD support and expandable storage up to 32 GB. Moto E runs on Android 4.4 version of operating system. Moto E has pre loaded Moto apps such as assist and a camera app.
Redmi 1S has 1.6 GHz quad core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor make. It has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. It has microSD support and an expandable memory up to 64 GB. It runs on a version of android called MIUI 5 which is based on Android 4.3. There are a number of pre loaded apps and the user can download more from the app store. Redmi 1S might get android 4.4 later.
Moto E has a camera with a resolution of 5 mega pixels. The camera does not capture all details but the color reproduction is pretty good. The phone does not have a rear flash or a front facing camera.
Redmi 1S has a camera with a resolution of 8 mega pixel. It has a front facing camera with a resolution of 1.6 mega pixel. It has a flash and hence images have a good color and contrast. Moto E has a battery with a capacity of 1980 mAh. It can run all day on moderate use. On the other hand Redmi 1S has a battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh. Both phones have fast performance and do not have much lag.
