Ravi Chaudhary is the new Executive Director of Regions and Center Operations FAA
24.2.2015: Ravi Chaudhary is appointed as ED for regions and centre operations to look after aviation operation in nine different regions. He was appointed by FAA on 24th February. He will lead 2100 federal employees in nine regions. Chaudhary is an Indian-American and is a bachelor degree holder in Aeronautical engineering. He is working at Air Force District of Washington since 21 years.
Chris Gayle Create History as First Batsman to Hit Double Century in World Cups
24.2.2015: Chris Gayle became the first player to hit a double century in world cup tourneys and the fourth to hit double century in one day matches. In a match played against Zimbabwe in world cup 2015, Gayle scored 215 runs in 147 balls with ten fours and sixteen sixes. Gayle and Samuel added 372 runs which is a record for any wicket in one day history. West Indies defeated Zimbabwe by 73 runs (Duckworth-Lewis Method)
TRAI Regulation on Telecommunication Interconnection Usage Charges
25.2.2015: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India issued a regulation prescribing domestic carriage charges revision. This will benefit fixed line phone users. The regulation removes charges that the landline service provider has to pay for other providers for transmitting customer calls. Not only the fixed line phones, the charges for mobile phones are also slashed by thirty percent.
Registration for Amarnath Yatra from March 1
24.2.2015: Registration for Amarnath Yatra is going to begin from March 1. This registration process will continue through select banks. The Yatra begins on July 2nd and ends on August 29. Registration can be done at 87 branches of Jammu Kashmir bank in various states, 38 branches of S banks, 305 branches of Punjab National Bank. Registration fee is Rs. 50. Applicants have to submit health certificate issued by a doctor.
US to Give Work Permits to Spouses of H-1B Visa Holders
24.2.2015: Spouses of H-1B Visa holders can now get work permits from May 26th. This is announced by United States and is going to benefit many people settled in America but is not able to work due to existing US laws. The officials informed that the spouses now have to submit for I-765 to USCIS an one these are approved they will be given employment authorization card which enables them to work in US.
