Justice Amitavata Roy who is serving as the chief justice of Odhisha high court is sworn in as a judge in Supreme Court of India. His tenure is three years. Amitavata Roy was born in Kolkata. He became a judge is Gauhati high court in 2002. He is now appointed as a judge in Supreme Court by president of India.
Yes Bank to Increase Its Branches across India
27.2.2015: Yes bank is one of the leading private sector banks in India and it announced its expansion plans. The bank is going to open 970 more branches in the country in the coming three years. The bank presently has 630 branches in various states in India.
De Villiers Fastest 150 in One Day International Matches
27.2.2015: South Africa captain AB De Villiers created a record in the league match played against West Indies in world cup tourney. He faced 66 balls and scored 162 runs. This is the fastest 150 in one day international matches. With his contribution of 162 runs, South Africa set a big target of 408 runs for West Indies. West Indies scored only 151 runs and lost all the wickets. South Africa won by a huge margin of 257 runs.
Hukam Singh, Former Chief Minister of Haryana Passed Away
27.2.2015: Former chief minister of Haryana, Hukam Singh passed away at the age of 89. He served as the chief minister of Haryana for a period of 248 days in 1990-91. State government of Haryana declared a holiday and three days state mourning from 26th to 28th, February.
US actor Leonard Nimoy Passed Away in Los Angeles
27.2.2015: Eighty three year old acclaimed US actor Leonard Nimoy died in Los Angles. He was 83. He acted not only in features films but also in video games and on television. He was born in 1931 and started his career in 1950.he was nominated for Emmy awards three awards.
