Lee Wan, South Korea President Resigned

27.04.2015: Prime Minister of South Korea, Lee Wan resigned following allegations of bribery scandal. The prime minister handed over his resignation of the President who accepted it. The bribery scandal involves Sung Wan-jong, a businessman who committed suicide after declaring that he gave 30 million won to the ex-prime minister. The allegation was denied by Lee Wan.

Rohit Sharma, Indian Batsman in Race for Arjuna Award

27.04.2015: Rohit Sharma, Indian batsman is nominated for Arjuna Award 2015. He is nominated by BCCI. The award is given by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India for outstanding achievements in sports. The award is being given since 1961.

Sangeeta Bhatia conferred with Heinz Award 2015

27.04.2015: Sangeeta Bhatia won the Heinz award for the year 2015. Bhatia is a scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sangeeta won the award in employment and economy category. The award was instituted in 1993 and this is the 20th Heinz award.

Asian Banker Achievement Award 2015 Conferred on Bharatiya Mahila Bank

27.04.2015: Bharatiya Mahila Bank won the Asian Banker Achievement Award for the year 2015. The award was handed over to Usha Ananthasubramanian, chairman of the bank in an event in Hong Kong. The bank won the award in best outsourcing project category for implementation of technology.

K Vijay, Telugu Film Choreographer Died in Accident in Nepal

27.04.2015: K Vijay, a choreographer of Tollywood film industry died in an accident in Nepal. The vehicle in which he was travelling overturned and killed him. Other members of the film unit are safe. The vehicle met with the accident due to rain and aftershock of the earthquake. Vijay is a relative of producer Kishan.

Xiaomi Stakes Purchased by Ratan Tata

27.04.2015: Industrialist Ratan Tata bought stakes in Xiaomi, the no 3 global smartphone makers in the world. Xiaomi is expanding its business in India, which is the largest overseas market for them. The company is taking in Bollywood stars and cricket team to make their products popular in India.
