Hyundai IX25 aka GS interiors spotted – Price around Rs. 12 lakhs, tackles Ford Eco Sport, Renault Duster and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

Hyundai has been alluring Indian buyers with spy images and news about the upcoming ix25 compact sports utility vehicle from past one year or more. An enthusiast has recently spotted another test mule of the upcoming SUV and this time, few snaps of the interiors were captured which were revealed over web later.

As per the information from sources, the upcoming SUV is likely to get launched into the Indian market as ‘GS’ most probably. The model is expected to make things tougher for rival models such as Renault Duster, Ford Eco Sport, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and etc. But the price of the vehicle is likely to be slightly dearer than the rival models mostly. GS is going to be around 4.27 meters long and thus it will fall under larger vehicle category and in turn will get imposed with heavy taxes and duties by the government of India. We can expect the compact SUV to get priced around Rs. 10 – 12 lakhs in the domestic market mostly.

We may see the upcoming compact SUV on Indian roads by the end of this September mostly. Ix25 has already been launched in some of the larger markets around the world and it is performing very well in spite of tough competition. Petrol version of the model is likely to get powered with a 1.6 litre petrol engine mostly whereas we can expect two distinct variants of the diesel edition. The base variant is likely to get powered with a 1.4 litre diesel engine producing around 90 PS whereas the higher end variant may get fitted with a 1.6 litre engine producing 128 PS power at the peak. It is informed that Hyundai is likely to use 6 speed manual transmission gear box for the compact SUV.

Some of the significant features of the upcoming Hyundai GS includes 17 inch alloy wheels, rear parking camera, bigger touch screen display for infotainment system, exclusive music system with SUX IN, Bluetooth connectivity and etc.
