Micromax launched its first 2 in 1 device named Canvas Laptab. This device will be made available in India from May 6 and will be Amazon exclusive. The device is priced Rs. 14,999. The 10.1 inch display device also supports single SIM and this runs on Windows operating system.

Pune: Micromax’s new device Canvas Laptab is a 10.1 inch display device that comes with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. The tablet weighs 1100 grams. It is powered by 1.33 GHz Intel Atom quad core Z3735Fprocessor and is paired with 2 GB RAM. Internal storage provided is 32 GB and memory can be expanded up to 64 GB. The hybrid device runs on Windows 8.1 operating system. It supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. The tablet comes equipped with 2 megapixel primary camera and 2 megapixel secondary camera. Other features are 3.5 mm audio jack and micro USB charging. Battery under the hood is 7700 mAh battery and is offered in black color.

Micromax Canvas Laptab is offered in black color. The hybrid device is offered with one year free subscription for Microsoft Office 365. Another highlight of the device is the 7700 mAh battery that delivers 10 hours usage time. “Today’s launch marks our entry into the PC segment, where we intend to drive category growth and not only garner an available market share. We believe that our vision complements the initiatives for Digital India, and we will be launching a range of exciting products over the next few months in the category,” said Vineet Taneja, CEO of Micromax.
