KN Vyas is the New Chief of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre
20.2.2016: KN Vyas, scientist is appointed as the director of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, BARC. He succeeds Shekar Basu who is appointed as Atomic Energy Secretary and Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission. The appointments committee of the cabinet approved the appointment of Vyas who will be in this post for around three years. He is currently serving as associate director at BARC.
Christine Lagarde Appointed as IMF Chief for the Second Time
20.2.2016: International Monetary Fund Executive board selected Christine Legarde as the chief for the second term. Lagarde is 60 and will serve as IMF managing director for five years from July 5, 2016.

20.2.2016: Standard Chartered Securities India appointed Nitin Kapadia as he head and executive board. He has a rich experience in capital markets for about two decades. He began his career as the investment banker and became the lead retail stock broking companies.
Amit Mitra is Chairman of GST Committee of State FMs
20.2.2016: Amit Mitra, the west Bengal finance minister is appointed as the chairman of goods and services panel. He succeeds KM Mani, Kerala finance minister who resigned in November 2015. The post was vacant since then.
Kalikho Pul is the New Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh
20.2.2016: congress leader Kalikho Pul is going to be sworn in as the new chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh. President rule has been lifted in the state. The swearing in ceremony will be held in Raj Bhavan in Itanagar. President rule was imposed in the state on January 26 after a political crisis caused by revolt by congress rebels.

20.2.2016: Bollywood actress popular for movies such as Dilwale dulhaniya le jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and so on is appointed as the part time member of Prasar Bharati Board. She will be the part time member till 2021. Shashi Sekhar Vempati is appointed to the prasar bharti board by Information and Broadcasting ministry.
