Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 get Android 4.1 update with new features
New Delhi: Samsung has officially announced that its Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2 would be getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. Other than adding just cosmetic or back-end changes, Samsung has infused a number of useful-sounding features with the update. This is really good news to the people who own Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 2. The software update will not only improve the experience but also boost the performance of device at the same time.
The new version Android 4.1v would allow the users to access Google Now, Google’s personal assistant feature and improved performance with Project Butter. As per the reports, Galaxy Note’s update includes dramatic improvements to the multitasking and S Pen features while the Galaxy Tab 2 will bring the company’s Premium Suite of features and productivity apps to the device.
Most of the new features are compatible to support with Note 10.1 mostly. Improved S Pen support would bring additional look and feel of the device. This update is so far made available for the Wi-Fi versions of the tablets. A Samsung representative has detailed the outline of features coming with the update. Samsung claims the following features to come with the update.
- Improved side-by-side apps i.e. user can now run as many windowed, resizable and cascading applications at once as they can fit on the screen
- No more lag when switching between windows
- With improved S Pen support, fluctuating in apps like calendar, Web browser and e-mail became easier with great look and feel. Here are the great features coming with the update.
Air View: S Pen enables the users to quickly preview content without having to open it. Users can preview video while scrubbing, preview e-mail attachments without opening and preview photos without opening the album.
Cascade View: Users can freely resize, move and pin selected applications in multiple views, running them simultaneously or while operating the home screen.
Quick Command: Users will be able to activate applications and services quickly that will be used most often. User can write command shortcuts using customized and preset S Pen strokes.
Enhanced Handwriting: Users will be able to send personalized handwritten notes and memos via e-mail or S Planner directly.
