Ford initiates ‘Midnight Sale’ for all models except Eco Sport – LED TVs, Refrigerators etc. on each booking made on 5th December
Ford India is looking forward to come up with new initiatives to promote growth in sale volume in the Indian car market. The portfolio of models for Ford India is very smaller when compared with the other leading automotive giants in the country and thus Ford is also looking forward to bring up more models that will fulfil the customers’ need is all the emerging segments of Indian car market. As a part of promotional programs, Ford has introduced the ‘Mid Night Surprise’ today.
The compact hatch back segment is the most emerging segment in the Indian car market currently and Ford India has only one model in the segment which is the main reason keeping the manufacturer behind in numbers game. Ford India is selling Figo hatch back which is one of favourite models currently but not as impressive as Maruti Suzuki’s Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and etc. Figo is available in both petrol as well as in diesel versions and the model has received an upgrade recently which made it technically rich.
All the customers who book a unit of Ford’s four wheeler model today i.e. on 5th December, 2013 will receive an assured gift as a part of the ‘Midnight Surprise’ campaign. As per the campaign, all the domestic dealers of Ford will take bookings from 8 AM in the morning till 12 Pm in the night today. Each booking for Classic, Fiesta, Figo and Endeavour will earn guaranteed gifts to the buyer including washing machines, refrigerators, LED TVs and microwave ovens. Eco Sport SUV is exempted from the campaign as the manufacturer has stopped receiving bookings for the model temporarily. Units for the bookings received already were not supplied so far and thus Ford has decided to stop taking orders till the pending units gets supplied.
Mr. Vinay Piparsania, the Executive Director of Marketing, Sales & Service for Ford India has stated in connection with the campaign “We are on the verge of introducing different products and these will be from all segments. India is an important market for Ford and we will participate in the growth story of all types of passenger vehicles. We follow ‘One Ford’ policy for Ford globally and we have announced some concepts earlier. Mass segment is very important and we continues to look at the small car segment in India.”
