Fujifilm X T1 Camera Likely to See Jan 28 Release: View Finder with 0.5 inch Electronic Panel

Fujifilm is coming out with a new version of its X-series of cameras. Called X T1, a shot of the new camera can be seen on Fujifilm’s website. By the looks of it seems to have the basic layout, controls and lens appears like its earlier version – X E2. But this new model could be more expensive than the X E2 owing to additional features.

Beijing: The X E2 is itself an improvised version of an earlier model. Of all the Compact System Cameras (CSC) the X E1 has the best image quality, but it failed to pick up in other areas. Then came the X E2 with faster autofocus, improved sensor and higher resolution, larger LCD screen. While it has the same good looking features like its predecessor, sturdy and silver topped finish, there are subtle differences in functions.

There’s an extra stop on the +/-3EV compensation dial and a new 1/180th sec flash sync speed on the speed dial. The name badge has changed. The function (fn) button on the top activates WiFi by default. There is a second function (fn2) button at the rear that has displaced the autofocus (AF) button which is much lower. The LCD was upgraded to 3-inch 1.04 m dot version. It means far more details on the offer.

The view finder with 0.5 inch electronic panel, complete with 2.36 dot m resolution is just as bright as the X E1 and accomplishes a faster refresh rate. Its biggest plus point is the hands on layout. A single press of the ‘Q’ button on the rear will open up a panel of options. The biggest new feature of X E2 is its “intelligent hybrid autofocus” that detects contrast and sensor-phase differences.

The X-T1 is believed to feature a different view finder than the X E2. It is in a different position more like the XPro1 and appears fully weather sealed like the X E2. It will have the same interchangeable lenses like the rest of the CSCs. Perhaps it will feature the same 16-megapixel X-Trans CMOS II sensor like X E2, meaning the same super image quality.
