01.02.2014: Approval of FDI in Multi Brand Retailing withdrawn by Rajasthan. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was given this approval. Current CM of Rajasthan is Vasundhara Raje. She sent a letter to Anand Sharma, Commerce & Industry Minister of India to revise the FDI in multi brand retailing.

28^th Surajkund International Crafts Mela Started

01.02.2014: 28^th Surajkund International Crafts Mela Started at Surajkund. This will be held between 1^st February 2014 to 15^th February 2014. Theme state of this mela is Goa. To show crafts and ethnic art in this mela, not only Indian and states craftsperson’s come to this place but also SAARC Nations come to participate in this mela.

Prithviraj Chavan inaugurated India’s First Monorail Service

01.02.2014: In Mumbai Maharashtra Chief Minister, Prithviraj Chavan inaugurated India’s First Monorail Service. This is the first phase of monorail is comprised of 8.9kms long Chembur Section. Estimated cost of this first phase is Rs.1900 crores. This monorail is fully air conditioned. Minimum fare is Rs.5 and Maximum fare is Rs.20. At an interval of 15 minutes, it will operate between 7 AM to 3 PM initially.

NTPC issued notice to BYPL and BRPL threatening to regulate Power Supply

01.02.2014: NTPC issued notice to BYPL (BSES Yamuna Power Ltd) and BRPL ( BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd) threatening to regulate Power Supply from 11^th February 2014. This notice will affect 32lakh customers who were living in Western, Central, Eastern, and Southern Parts of Delhi.
