HTC Desire 8 Specs, Images Leaked: Desire 8 Coming on March 18, 2014?

A Chinese website reported that HTC is going to launch Desire 8 handset on March 18. Desire 8 mid range phone is an addition to the Desire series and is expected to come with 5.5 inch display. It supports dual SIM. It features 13 megapixel primary camera and 5 megapixel front facing camera.

Beijing: Desire 8, seems to be the new smartphone in the Desire series of HTC and the specifications of the handset are leaked on a Chinese website. The site also revealed the images of the handset. Desire 8 is expected to be announced on March 18, 2014.

As per the Chinese website, Desire 8 will sport 5.5 inch display. There will be a 5 megapixel front facing camera and 13 megapixel primary camera. It will come with dual SIM capabilities. It is likely to come with two front facing speakers. It is not known whether the handset will be launched in other countries also apart from China.

With 5.5 inch display, HTC Desire 8 will be the first mid rang phone from HTC to come with big display. According to Cher Wang, Chairwoman of HTC, the company will concentrate on entry level and mid range smartphones for emerging markets unlike previous year when they only concentrated on HTC One.

HTC is also working on HTC One mini, as per the rumors that we are hearing since few days. It is code named M8 Mini. This will come with 4.5 inch display and 720 pixel resolution. M8 will come powered by 1.4 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with 1 GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Kitkat operating system. The camera features are 13 megapixel rear camera and 5 megapixel front facing camera. Internal storage will be 16 GB and there will also be micro SD card for expansion of memory.
