Honda Brio Facelift teased – To be Launched with Jazz and Mobilio to beat Nissan Micra, Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Swift?
The Japanese automotive giant Honda has introduced few new sedan variants in the Indian market this year already. But there was not even a single successful hatch back variant from the manufacturer in past one or two years in India. The manufacturer has launched the smaller ‘Brio’ hatchback about two and half years ago in the domestic market and no upgrade for the model was launched either. Surprisingly, a teaser image of Brio hatch back in a fresh look is making lot of buzz over web from past few days.
As per the information, the respective image is of the upcoming Honda Brio Facelift hatch back most probably. But the Japanese giant has not revealed anything about the launch of the model so far. Sales of the hatch back in India are going at a steady rate so far and the model must be upgraded at the earliest to increase the sale volume. From the images, we could clearly understand that the upcoming Brio Facelift would feature a wide number of cosmetic charges when compared with the former edition but the same engine may be left untouched mostly.
Honda has reported to be launching the Jazz hatch back by the end of this year and we could expect the Brio Facelift to be launched simultaneously. Brio Facelift is expected to be offered in petrol version only just like the previous edition. The engine may remain unchanged and thus the same 1.2 litre I – VTEC four cylinder petrol engine producing 88 PS at the peak and along with 109 NM of torque will be continued. Visual changes may include a brand new front bumper and a larger grille which could be seen from the images revealed.
The revised wing face pattern seen on the new City sedan launched recently could be seen on the upcoming Brio Facelift. The recently launched edition of Brio in Thailand market has got a revised rear end with an exclusive boot lid made mostly by using glass portion. A rear wiper was also seen along with washer and there is probability for the same to be continued with the Indian edtion of Brio Facelift. However, we must wait for few more days in order to find out more about Brio Facelift.
