EAMCET Results 2014: Apply for revaluation from 2nd July 2014/ one marks difference changed ranks in the examination
After checking the results if candidates were not satisfied with the marks, they can apply for revaluation from 2nd July 2014. One marks difference changed ranks in the examination.
Hyderabad: EAMCET (Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) 2014 had conducted on 22nd May 2014. Results of this examination were out yesterday. Before the announcement of the results JNTU Hyderabad had released the answer keys of this examination. Even after checking the answer keys all the candidates who had written this examination were eagerly waiting for the results to announce. Now results were out. After checking the results if candidates were not satisfied with the examination results then they can apply for the revaluation from 2nd July 2014. Merit of this examination was prepared based on the combined score of the entrance examination and marks achieved in the relevant group subjects namely Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. 75% weightage will be given to the entrance examination score and 25 % weightage will be given to marks achieved in the relevant group subjects while preparing the merit list.
During this year not even a single candidates got total marks. But small mistakes made by the candidates lead to lot of difference in the ranks. This effect was seen mostly in the medical stream. Candidates whose ranks range were between 500 to 800 leads to 60 to 70 ranks difference. Candidates who had attained ranks below 800 ranks will get good seats in best medical and dental colleges. Just with the difference of 20 marks from 137 to 117 candidates can see a drop of 3071 ranks.
Competition in the engineering stream is little bit relaxed. Candidates who had achieved 130 marks out of 160 marks they got the ranks below 500. Candidates who got marks below 120 got the ranks below 1235. After that each mark difference between the candidates leads to difference of 100 ranks. Andhra candidates dominated Telangana Candidates. In the top 20 candidates, 11 candidates belong to Andhra Pradesh, 7 candidates belong to Hyderabad and remaining candidates belongs to Telangana.
