Mahindra Mojo 300 Spotted – Can it beat Bajaj Pulsar 200SS, KTM Duke 200, Honda CBR 250R and Yamaha R25
Mahindra has revealed the concept form of the Mojo high performance commuter bike at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo held in the month of February at Greater Noida. We have been waiting for the bike to get launched from more than three years. It seems like the waiting has come to an end as a test mule of the fully ready Mojo 300 has been spotted on the roads of Pune recently. A set of the respective spy images have been revealed over web by which are making a lot of buzz from past one or two days.
The news about Mahindra launching a 300 CC bike in the Indian market has come out in the year 2010 and sources have also revealed that the bike was going to be launched officially by the end of mid 2011. But something went wrong and the manufacturer has kept the concept aside. In the past two or three years, the demand for the high powered two wheelers has increased enormously and leading automotive giants such as Hero Moto Corp, Honda, Suzuki , Yamaha and Honda have made good use of the opportunity. However, Mahindra has once again came forward with the Mojo 300 and has revealed the first look as a concept earlier this year.
We can expect the production ready Mojo 300 to be launched by the end of this year and we may see the bike in show rooms by mid of 2015. A test mule of the model was spotted near Pune and it was fully covered with camouflage. As we could observe from the spy images, the exclusive features of the bike can be seen clearly. The front end gets inverted telescopic shock absorbers whereas the rear gets fitted with a swing arm mono shock suspension system. Mahindra has equipped Mojo with Y spoke alloy wheels along with monstrous Pirelli Sport Demon tyres.
Instrument cluster goes fully digital and both the wheels gets accompanied with disk brakes. The front face gets twin halogen head lights along with a set of LED day time running lights. The tail light as well as the turn indicators are equipped with attractive LEDs. Power comes from a 295 CC liquid cooled four stroke single cylinder DOHC engine that is capable of generating 27 bhp and 25 NM of torque as maximum. Mahindra is expected to offer a 6 speed manual transmission gear box with the Mojo 300. There is no information about the price of the vehicle so far and thus we must wait till Mahindra makes an announcement regarding the same.
