Samsung Z1 Tizen Operating System Smartphone to Reach India in January, 2014?: Leaks
Samsung Z1 is the budget smartphone from the company that is based on Tizen operating system. The handset is going to reach the Indian markets on 18th January, 2015. Fonearena said that according to a report of Korea Economic Daily, the smartphone launch is scheduled for November or December this year but it did not happen.
New Delhi: The leaked launching date of Samsung Z1 Tizen OS smartphone could be wrong as the date lies on a Sunday. The device first showed up in October, November this year. The specifications of the device were also leaked earlier.
According to the leaks, the specifications of Samsung Z1 Tizen operating system based smartphone will sport 4 inch display and the type of display is WVGA TFT LCD. Display resolution is 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core Spreadtrum sC7727S processor. the processor is backed by 512 MB RAM. it will run on Tizen 2.3 operating system. the handset features 3.2 megapixel primary camera and VGA front facing camera. connectivity features of the handset include 3G and WiFi. it supports dual SIM.
Samsung Z1 Tizen smartphone is likely to be priced 100,000 Korean Won. It will be launched in China in February and in Korea in the first half of next year. Samsung is one of the leading mobile brands in the world and in recent times it is facing competition from other global brands and domestic brands. Indian mobile makers such as Micromax are also challenging the leading position of Samsung and it has to be seen whether the inexpensive Tizen smartphone will help increase Samsung’s market share in India.
