Sonakshi Sinha ‘Breaking’ Her Success Spree
Sonakshi Sinha not able to maintain her success spree with Action Jackson.
Mumbai: The Bollywood beauty Sonakshi Sinha has been able to establish herself as successful and dependable heroine. Getting introduced to Bollywood as daughter of hero Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi started her movie career with Dabaang (2010) against Salman Khan.
After starting her movie career with super hit, she continued her success spree for many movies like and including Dabaang2, Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardar, Lootera, R….Rajkumar, Holiday etc.
Her success thread came to an end with her latest movie ‘Action Jackson’. The action hero Ajay Devgn starrer movie having dancing diva Prabhu Deva handling the megaphone could not entertain the audience as per expectations.
‘AJ’ got super action, melodious and hit music. However, the box office gave a shock to the movie cast & technicians. The initial reports indicated that the loosely knitted story is the man villain leading to the debacle performance of the movie at the box office.
Choreographer-Director Prabhu Deva proved his direction ability for many movies in regional languages (movies like Shankardada Zindabad, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana & Pournami) and Hindi (R… Rajkumar, Ramayya Vastavayya, Rowdy Rathore). Migrating from south to Bollywood he enjoyed success for his 3 initial projects (out of them 2 are remakes of hits from south).
The latest movie ‘Action Jackson’ is getting cursed for many loopholes in the story-line. Director himself partnered the script as well. However, the movie could not escape failure at the box office.
The failure of Action Jackson at the box office is putting the future projects of successful heroine Sonakshi Sinha to dilemma. Sonakshi is having her forthcoming release in Hindi (Tevar which is again a remake of south hit movie Okkadu starring Mahesh Babu & Bhoomika & is scheduled to release in January 2015). She is also starring in Rajnikant starrer ‘Lingaa’ wherein there is another south beauty Anushka also entertaining the audience opposite hero Rajnikant. The movie is expected to hit the screens on 13th December.
While attending the audio launch of Telugu version of Lingaa Sonakshi went on record to state that she is very much interested to work in south and that she could not cash the earlier opportunity to work with Mahesh for Telugu movie. She also assured the south fans that she is ready to appear in south if suitable projects are coming her way.
Immediately following the reports are that she is likely to join Ram Charan Tej in his next movie with Sreenu Vytla. Presently the proposed movie is in story discussion stage and an official confirmation regarding Sonakshi’s presence is awaited.
