Yamaha launched Saluto 125 CC for Rs. 52000 – Takes on Honda Shine, Hero Glamour, and Bajaj Discover 125
Yamaha Motorcycles has brought forward a brand new model in the <150 CC commuter segment of the Indian market. The manufacturer has introduced the new Saluto 125 CC commuter bike for a starting price of Rs. 52000 only. Yamaha is confident about beating rival models of the segment such as Honda CB Shine, Hero Glamour, Bajaj Discover 125 and TVS Sport 125 with the new Saluto.
The new Saluto measures around 2035 mm of length, 700 mm of width and 1080 mm of height respectively. The new breed comes with 1265 mm wheelbase and it also comes with 180 mm of ground clearance. The kerb weight of the model is around 112 kilograms and the maximum capacity of the fuel tank is around 7.6 litres. Yamaha has developed the new Saluto on a diamond frame which is reported to be of superior quality. Both the wheels gets alloy spokes and the manufacturer is offering 130 mm drum brakes for both the wheels as well. Yamaha has not offered disk brakes as a choice for Indian buyers currently.
Saluto comes powered with a 125 CC single cylinder four stroke engine that is capable of generating around 8.3 PS power at the peak along with 10.1 Nm of torque. Engine comes mated with a four speed manual transmission gear box by default and the manufacturer has claimed that Saluto can deliver around 78 kmpl mileage on an average. Suspension needs at the front wheel are taken care by telescopic forks whereas the rear end gets spring shock absorbers. Yamaha Saluto is available in two vivid colour shades only and they are Brave Black and Victory Red respectively. Yamaha has also informed that the engine of Saluto was made using Blue Core Technology which was earlier used for the 2.0 Edition FZ – S.
Yamaha Saluto has been priced for just Rs. 52000 only in order to make the things tougher for key players of the segment such as Honda CB Shine.
