Hyundai’s Compact SUV Spied – 1.0L Turbo Petrol expected to tackle with Ford’s Eco Sport
New Delhi: Ford’s Eco Sport SUV is the most discussed models in recent times and still the model is making a lot of buzz around the world. There is no doubt about the massive reputation of the model and we can say that Ford has beaten down most of the rival compact SUV models with the launch of the Eco Sport without hesitation. Thus all the leading automotive manufacturers are now indulged in their game plans to tackle with the Eco Sport SUV.
Earlier it was the rein of Renault’s Duster compact SUV which was a favorite all over the world. Renault has not expected a rival like Eco Sport within few months after the success of Duster in almost all markets in the world. Now there is a tight battle going on between Renault’s Duster and Ford Eco Sport in the compact SUV segment. The second largest car maker in the Indian market, Hyundai is likely to launch a brand new model to give tough competition for Ford’s Eco Sport in the compact SUV segment.
A test mule of Hyundai has been spied on a road which is expected to be the model Hyundai has been developing from past few months to have a breakthrough in the compact SUV segment. The test mule spied was fully covered with camouflage and thus we may not get any idea about the future SUV from these snaps. But it is informed that Hyundai is going to adopt the styling and outer design of the Kia Provo Concept car for developing this Eco Sport rival.
There is no information available about the engine specifications of this future model but we may expect the 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine that was revealed by Hyundai last year. It is also informed that Hyundai is going to offer the new compact SUV in both petrol version as well as in the diesel version. High ground clearance is going to be the significant feature in the Indian version of upcoming compact SUV from Hyundai.
