Ford launched Figo 2014 in ‘Mars Red’ – Wi-Fi added to tackle Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Chevrolet Beat
Ford India has brought forward the brand new edition of Figo hatch back at this year’s Auto Expo held at Greater Noida. Not much has been changed in the new Figo when compared with the former edition but few changes like a new set of tail lamps and etc. have been made. The most significant addition to the model would be the ‘Wi – Fi’ connectivity. The buyer can turn the new Figo into a Wi-Fi hot spot as and when he wants which would be a great deal for Indian buyers currently.
The manufacturer has introduced a new paint shade with the name ‘Mars Red’ for the first time with the launch of Eco Sport. It went successful in the Indian market and the same is now used for the new Figo. However, it is not the only shade available with the model and buyer can afford Figo with the ‘Paprika Red’ shade that was offered before on demand. The larger air vent in the front has been made in hexagonal shape and looks elegant for sure. The shape of the head lamps has been stretched a bit to the rear and fog lamps have been positioned on both sides of the front bumper.
The interior of the model has also been changed a lot and clack vinyl coloured seat covers are being offered with the new Figo. Ford is also offering a brand new feature with the new Figo called as ‘Driver Information System’ which will display vital information such as the distance left before fuel gets empty, average fuel economy achieved, and etc. Buyer can afford Wi-Fi on board with the purchase of Figo on demand by paying around 10 thousand rupees additionally. All the five passengers of the car can use Wi-Fi and it runs on 3G network. The feature can be installed on EXi, ZXi and Titanium variants of the model and the buyer needs to purchase a 3G SIM separately.
The dash board of the vehicle comes with dual toned colour and audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. The higher end variants of the new Ford Figo comes with dual air bags for the safety of Driver as well as passenger in the front. Prices of all the variants of new Ford Figo are going to be increased in India by around Rs. 10k to Rs. 20k.
