EAMCET Results 2014: Rank Criteria/ Andhra Dominated Telangana
Merit List prepared based on the combined score of marks secured and relevant group subject. Out of top 20, 11 candidates belong to Andhra Pradesh.
Hyderabad: On behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) Hyderabad had conducted EAMCET 2014. On the basis of the combined score merit list of the shortlisted candidates were secured in the entrance examination and relevant group subjects namely Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics. At the time of preparing the merit list 75% weightage is given to the marks secured in the EAMCET 2014 examination and 25% weight age is given to relevant group subjects namely Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
If some of the candidates marks attain became tie, then merit list will be given preference to the older candidates than the younger candidates. This is based on the date of Birth. In case of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) Weight age of marks will be decided by a committee constituted by the competent authority.
EAMCET 2014 ranks are essential for the admission of the upcoming academic session. From the date of Publication of the results, OMR answer sheets will be preserved for a period of 6 months.
Andhra Pradesh candidates scored more ranks when compared with the Telangana region. Among top 20 candidates, 11 candidates belongs to Andhra Pradesh, 7 candidates belongs to Hyderabad. Most of the Candidates who were taken coaching in Hyderabad belong to Andhra Pradesh.

Telangana:
- Number of candidates appeared for Engineering was 116858. Qualified candidates were 80479.
- Number of candidates appeared for Medical stream were 51278. Qualified candidates were 41529
- In the Engineering Stream, Qualifying percentage is 68.86
- In the Medical Stream, Qualifying percentage is 80.98
Andhra Pradesh:
- Number of candidates appeared for Engineering was 145412. Qualified candidates were 105556
- Number of candidates appeared for Medical stream were 52859. Qualified candidates were 45571
- In the Engineering Stream, Qualifying percentage is 72.59
- In the Medical Stream, Qualifying percentage is 86.2
