Samsung Galaxy A7 Official: The Metal Clad Smartphone Launched in Korea and Philippines

Samsung Galaxy A7 is official now. The company launched the smartphone in an event at South Korea in which Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are along launched. It will be made available in the markets in February the year and the price of the handset is yet to be announced.

Manila: Samsung Galaxy A7 comes with 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm MS8939 Snapdragon 615 processor and is coupled with 2 GB RAM. It is provided with 16 GB internal storage and there is no word on expandable memory support. Samsung A7 comes out of the box with Android 4.4.4 Kitkat operating system. It supports dual SIM and has a 13 megapixel camera at rear. There is also 5 megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity features include Bluetooth, 4G LTE and micro USB. Battery under the hood is 2600 mAh.

After unveiling the smartphone in Korea, the handset Samsung also officially launched Galaxy A7 in Philippines. It will be priced $555 and the availability details are not announced. This is the thinnest smartphone from Samsung that runs on Android operating system. As per design, it is similar to other smartphones launched in A series earlier and also come with metal chassis.

Samsung launched two smartphones in A series - Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 for the Indian market and they are priced Rs. 20,500 and Rs. 25,500. Availability of the handsets in Indian market is next week. It also launched Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 smartphones and the latest A7 is also expected to arrive in India soon.
