Samsung Galaxy S IV to Feature Snapdragon 600
Seoul: SamMobile leaked the specifications of Samsung Galaxy IV. SamMobile informed that according to their sources, Samsung Galaxy IV will come with 1.5 GHz Snapdragon 600 inside.
Eight core Exynos 5 Octa was released by Samsung at recently concluded CES 2013. It was expected that the Galaxy IV will feature Samsung’s own processor. But it seems there are some overheating issues and so Samsung has dropped the idea of utilizing the processor in Galaxy IV. The issue seems to be not fixed by the scheduled launch of Galaxy IV so Samsung opted for Qualcomm chip. Samsung already used Qualcomm chips in its flagship models. Galaxy S II, the Japanese and North American variants had snapdragon S4 MSMS8960 processor.
SamMobile also claimed that the display of Galaxy S IV will be SoLux display. It is not revealed whether the display will be LCD3 or not. According to rumors Galaxy S IV will is going to sport 4.99 inch full HD display.
Other rumored specifications are the 13 megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM and 16/32/64 storage options. The device is expected to come with a removable battery. According to information, the device is going to have a physical home button and touch buttons. The device will have a plastic body and aluminum sides. It will be available in black and white colors. It may measure 140.1 x 71.8 x 7.7 mm and weigh 138 grams.
