Tata Nano Twist F – TRONIC Spotted – 5 speed AMT to be offered to beat Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Tata Motors has decided to take the ‘Common Man’s Car’, Nano to the next level as the ‘Cheapest car’ tag itself has ruined the business of the manufacturer. The leading India bound automotive giant has come with some exclusive variants of the Nano hatch back this year and few of the variants such as ‘Nano Twist F TRONIC’ and ‘Nano Twist Active’ have been revealed at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo held in the month of February. A test mule of the upcoming edition of Nano Twist has been spotted recently and a set of respective images were revealed over web.
The respective test mule was reported to be spotted on the roads of Bikaner which is a historical city in the state of Rajasthan. The test mule was fully covered with heavy camouflage on its body and it was also wearing a temporary registration plate in the front as well as on the back. The upcoming edition of the Nano Twist hatch back gets fitted with a smiley shaped grille on the front fascia and the rear end also gets the same treatment. As we could observe from the respective set of spy images, the test mule is equipped with a set of head lamps which seems to be adopted from the current gen Tata Aria Sports Utility Vehicle.
The rear fascia of the model gets air vents on the smiley shaped rear grille and the open able hatch door is the most significant feature of the Twist Version of Nano hatch back when compared with the other variants. The centre console in the front gets premium finishing and the manufacturer has used special quality plastic materials for making the same. The three spoke steering wheel is an addition to the elegance of the vehicle and the interiors including upholstery gets covered with premium quality leather.
Nano Twist Active and Twist F – TRONIC variants are expected to be powered with the same 624 CC engine that is capable of generating around 38 PS power at the peak along with 51 Nm of torque. The Active variant of the Nano Twist gets mated with a manual transmission gear box whereas the F – TRONIC version of the hatch back would get accompanied with a 5 speed auto manual transmission gear box which was seen in the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatch back. As per the information, Tata Motors has stopped the production of current gen Nano hatch back at the Sanand Plant in order to speed up the development of the next gen variants of the hatch.
